I find it very accomplished and harmonious. I can't wait to see the film on the big screen!
Romain Claris's films bring the dream to life.
A superb video by Romain Claris covering the complete construction process from A to Z, including sailing and interior footage.
Beautiful. Pure poetry.
Speechless — It is truly excellent work that moved us deeply. Congratulations!
The latest version of the teaser works very well. It has also been approved by the Kenzo Takada team.
The film definitely has your signature. Wonderful to watch!
The video arrived — it's beautiful, thank you so much!
Romain Claris is the best Steadicam operator in the yachting industry.
Romain Claris magnificently filmed the performances of United Dance Company and also produced an excellent documentary about the Company.
Whether for yachting, fashion, theatre or dance, when you see the commitment to quality in his work and the artistic taste and talent it reflects, you realise that excellence is a constant that becomes second nature.
The film about Gilles Jonemann is simply sublime — I particularly love the extreme close-ups of the jewellery. Bravo for a film that is both deeply poetic and elegant.
I have just watched your film and found it very compelling: the quality of the subject, the choice to film in close-ups that sometimes break the frame, the structured editing of thought.
The images are superb, the editing is also excellent. It is wonderful — everything is there, it is very beautiful, sensitive and true. Thank you so much.
I watched you work on location and didn't think you would achieve such a beautiful and interesting result. The atmosphere is perfectly captured. I relived the moments, the light, the scents, with the sharp music of the tambourine and high-pitched flute.
A magnificent documentary by Romain Claris about the making of a dress.
Beautiful, truly beautiful. It takes great talent to capture the talent of others. You do it with ease — a real success.
Fantastic, like a wonderful dream… The sound of the fabric being placed and cut adds a marvellous texture to the whole. The subtle lighting is used to perfection. It's a little gem!
Beautiful film, beautiful story and subject.
Your short films are magnificent, poetic and mysterious, and also very well made. I was particularly impressed by Painting with the Dragonfly.
If the wide shot is something we can all do, more or less — we who make too many images at every turn and confuse wide shots with overviews — detail is what is missing from the image-saturated eye with which we look at the world. Then, and only then, the fold of fabric in a sewing machine, a brushstroke on a blank page, raindrops on a train window, a pier by the sea, a sculptor's hand, a pebble becoming a jewel, a dancer's flexible foot, the gaze of a Bangladeshi fisherman, jute fibre becoming a boat — all things filmed by Romain Claris move us, because they reveal from the detail a world vaster, richer, more complex than we believed, so that, freeing our gaze alongside his, we may see more clearly still.
